Getting your site indexed means having it listed and recognized by Google so it can appear in search results. This is a critical step if you want people to find your website through search engines.
Before You Begin:
Your website must be upgraded to a Basic or Advanced plan so you can connect your custom domain name.
How to Get Indexed:
1. Add your domain to Google Search Console.
2. Download the verification file provided by Google.
3. Go to your Dashboard, hover over your site, and click Site Settings.
4. Upload the Verification File to your website root.
5. Go back to Google Search Console and click Verify.
6. Once verified, use the URL Inspection tool to analyze your home page or any specific page.
7. Click Request Indexing.
Once requested, Google can begin indexing your site in as little as a few hours—though in some cases it may take a bit longer.
